Three secrets of carbon fiber cloth reinforcement of the reason why it should be unloaded first.

Carbon fiber cloth reinforcement is a common technical method in the reinforcement industry today. In many carbon fiber cloth reinforcement projects, in order to achieve better reinforcement effect, the structure of the carbon fiber cloth is often unloaded before construction, thereby reducing some non-essential weight, enhance the reinforcement effect. 1. Reduce stress and strain lag

Carbon fiber cloth reinforced floor slabs cannot fully exert their performance due to stress and strain lag, especially when the original structure has high working stress and strain values. The original structure tends to be applied to the compression members and shear members mainly composed of concrete bearing capacity. The various breaking phenomena that have been destroyed by the subsequent additions have resulted in a very unsatisfactory reinforcement effect or no effect at all.

Conversely, if the load is removed before the carbon fiber cloth is reinforced, the situation is completely different. Due to the reduction of the secondary force, the hysteresis strain of the carbon fiber cloth is reduced, so that when the damage occurs, the new and the old parts can enter their respective limit states at the same time, and the overall bearing capacity of the structure can be significantly improved.

 

2, Save reinforcement materials

After the load is removed before reinforcement, the hysteresis strain of the carbon fiber cloth can be reduced or even eliminated, so that the structure after the reinforcement can fully utilize the strength of the carbon fiber cloth without repeated reinforcement, thereby saving the use of the reinforcement material.

 

3. Improve structural bearing capacity

The effect of unloading on the bearing capacity of the reinforced structure is mainly reflected in the reduction of the first load stress and strain level of the original structure. This is especially effective for the compression structure reinforced with concrete snares and the bent structure reinforced by additional fulcrums.
