Key points for quality control of power plant reinforced epoxy-type adhesive

The process of planting steel bars is to drill a suitable and clean hole in the reinforced concrete structure, inject the epoxy type reinforced adhesive into the hole, insert a certain length of anchoring steel bar (or bolt), and wait for the adhesive to solidify. Using this method to anchor steel bars is like pre-embedded steel bars in the original structure, which can fully exert the technical performance of the embedded steel bars.

In the face of key and complex power plant buildings, what are the quality control points that need to be taken into account when using epoxy-based adhesive?

 

1. Positioning and placing of the planting bars. Mark the location and models of the implanted holes according to the design requirements. If there are stressed steel bars on the substrate, the drilling position can be adjusted appropriately, but it should be implanted inside the stirrups (for beams, columns) or inside the distribution bars (pair plates, shear walls). Key to quality control: the position of the steel bars in the original structure should be first positioned to avoid damage to the original structural steel bars during drilling.

 

2. Drilling holes for planting bars. The main tool for drilling is an electric hammer. The hole diameter is d+4~10mm (the small diameter steel bar takes a low value and the large diameter steel bar takes a high value). When the concrete reaches the design strength and 28 days old, the position, hole diameter and depth of the hole are determined according to the design requirements. The width between the outer hole wall and the edge of the reinforced concrete member is ≥5mm or more. The hole wall after drilling is intact without cracks and honeycombs, etc.

The glue requires a small hole diameter, and the vertical hole, the horizontal hole and the inverted hole can be easily implanted. Generally, the diameter of the borehole is d+2∽8mm, and the anchoring depth is 15d. The anchoring force value of the planted steel is generally greater than the yield value, which satisfies the requirements of Grade A adhesive of Concrete Structure Reinforcement Design Specification GB50367-2006.
